Staffing Specialist

Department: Raynor, Dixon, IL  


The Staffing Specialist is responsible for meeting hiring goals by filling open positions with talented and qualified candidates. The Staffing Specialist is generally responsible for the full life cycle of the recruiting process. This entails sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating the interview process, and facilitating offers and employment negotiations.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for both internal and external hourly job openings
  • Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline
  • Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, performing phone screenings and interviews
  • Take ownership of candidate experience by designing and managing job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements
  • Perform reference checks 
  • Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating employment terms
  • Manage onboarding and new hire process
  • Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices
  • Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Deals effectively with multiple internal/external customers of varying levels
  • PC skills with experience in MS Office and knowledge and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems)
  • Must stay current with recruiting trends and best practices to ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations

1-3 years recruiting experience preferred.
