JOB DESCRIPTION
The 3rd Shift Logistics Supervisor plans, directs and coordinates the overall day to day operations of finished goods inventory, selecting of orders, loading customer pick-ups and distributor shipments.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the supervision, direction and planning of all warehouse functions
- Interprets company policies and collective bargaining agreement
- Develops and executes a long-term distribution strategic plan to optimize efficiencies, quality and service
- Responsible for the procurement of distribution services and /or consulting relationships with vendors as required Establish annual distribution plan, programs, goals and budgets to contain costs on an annual basis
- Responsible for the timely reporting of distribution and logistics issues, trends, and project status on a regular basis

- Knowledge of products specifications and BOM requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication, self-presentation and interpersonal skills
- Solid communication skills at all levels of the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in supervision is desirable in a metal forming, manufacturing or assembly background
- Computer skills including Window based programs (Excel, Word & Power Point) and use of JD Edwards
- High School diploma required; Associates preferred
